Online Open Seat, Horizontal and High Angle Engineering (merlinerd.com)

The objective of Merlin's ERD training is to ensure all key members of the team understand not only the basic physics of what happens downhole when drilling an ERD or complex wells; i.e. large diameter, high angle holes, but also what the risks are (generic and specific to the field) and how to manage them effectively. These objectives are met by training a selection of modules delivered online. The courses are supported by numerous case studies and "real-world" examples relating the material to actual events and outcomes.

- Format – the training is delivered on Teams over 4 x 4.5-hour sessions (four days, Monday to Thursday). The course will be led by one of our experienced trainers, supported by an engineer assisting in managing Teams chat, document and exercise sharing, etc. The course is designed to be interactive, with polling quiz questions, videos, group exercises, and case studies.

- Pre-and Post-Course Assessment – each delegate will complete a pre-and post-course assessment to gauge the level of understanding of each topic, highlighting areas of strength and areas for further development.

- Retain Online Access – all delegates will retain access to online training material after completing the course via Merlin's online Learning Management System (LMS); individual logins will be issued before the course.

Certificate – each delegate will receive a certificate of participation.
