We have an opening for a Training Specialist based out of our Houston, TX location. The Training Specialist is responsible for organizing and administering training courses, traveling to the field to proctor practical and final exams, maintaining training websites, reporting on users involved in training, and assisting with development of new training content. This individual also provides administrative support to the MWD Development Manager and Training Manager.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Assist with Operations and Engineering assignments and tasks, including technical alerts and procedural updates.
  • Govern ongoing training needs by scheduling, teaching, and proctoring in-house courses and exams.
  • Schedule and complete field visits to ensure practical and final exams for Operators in training are completed in timely manner.
  • Track and report on training participants weekly, creating status reports for all regions, including quiz and exam scores and reports for regional managers regarding website utilization.
  • Assist MWD Development team in new content development for upcoming courses.
  • Maintain training website including creating tests, formatting and inputting website content, ensuring website is always up to date with required content, and managing user privileges.
  • Assist MWD Operators and Consultants with technical field issues.
  • Assist with all aspects of development and field integration of new technology.
  • Liaise with other departments and work with Integrations Specialist to develop regulated training content throughout the company.
  • Standardize region specific paperwork, revising when necessary.
  • Upload new content to the training websites; ensure content is kept up to date.
  • Develop initiatives to improve success rate and decrease cost within the training program.
  • Assist Integration Specialist and MWD Development Manager with general duties such as emails, paperwork, scheduling, spreadsheets, creating and editing new documentation, writing and proofing policies.
  • Required to work on-call after hours.

The successful candidate will have minimum 2 years of MWD Operator experience, 1 year of Training/Coordinating experience and proficiency in standard computer software and MS Office. This individual will be very organized, analytical, detail oriented as well as excellent in written and proof reading skills. They will also have strong administrative skills with the ability to coordinate a diverse geographically separated workforce of employees.
