Description

The Cutting Edge of Drill Bit Performance Mini Forum

Drill bits are one of the most important tools in the BHA, but in many cases, the most undervalued, considering that they are required for every drilling operation. Even though it’s quite a mature technology, an Internet search will tell you that our industry is constantly developing new designs, materials, application methods and technologies to help drive down costs, while improving drill bit performance, durability and efficiency.

It can be hard for drillers to cut through the noise to determine the best drill bit option, especially in demanding formations and difficult directional/lateral applications.

Join IADD for the Cutting Edge of Drill Bit Performance Mini Forum, where we’ll welcome speakers from operators and drill bit companies as they discuss the advantages and challenges of matching drill bits with other BHA components, when to determine when to proceed with a specific bit type/design, what’s new in the world of drill bits, and more.

What’s in it for you?

  • Hear from industry leaders and experts as they discuss the technologies, challenges and benefits of various drill bits in a variety of applications and environments
  • Discuss current trends, technical limitations and new technology developments
  • Network with existing colleagues and customers and make new acquaintances
