Description

Mud motors are a vital part of the directional drilling process. Over the past six months, the International Association of Directional Drilling (IADD) has held two forums dedicated to the educating attendees of the advantages, challenges and future technology of mud motors. During these two events, more than 300 people from operators, service companies and motor manufacturers have engaged in some animated, and sometimes controversial, discussions about how the industry can drill better, faster, cheaper and safer. And how all parties can communicate more effectively.

Based on continued feedback, we're expanding the debate to the Permian Basin, where we plan to have a follow-up Mud Motor Mini-Forum on Wednesday, June 29. The event will be led by a group of operators recounting their experiences with the dynamometer (dyno) testing program, followed by a group discussion on inspection processes moving forward.

If you're not familiar with this testing program, definitely add this event to your calendar and come be part of the process as we work to improve the industry.

What's in it for you?

  • Hear from several leading operators and mud motor experts about a new process that may revolutionize how we test and drill mud motors in the future - panel discussions to follow presentations
  • Learn about the latest Mud Motor Industry Steering Committee updates and determine how you can participate in future initiatives
  • Network with existing colleagues and customers and make new acquaintances
