RDD- Remote Directional Drilling is sometimes labeled “Drilling from town”, due to the fact drilling can be done remotely by the directional driller from great distances away from the site. Companies are allowed to maximize their resources by putting their top directional drillers in one room to monitor multiple wells off location. This also allows these same drillers to analyze multiple sets of data from the different wells in real time.
