Bill Bailey has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Trained as a petrophysicist, Bill has been involved in operations, sales and marketing and management in the wireline, directional drilling and, for the past 15 years, manufacturing of M/LWD collars. The MWD industry has developed from rocket science 20 years ago to a growing technology that has fundamentally changed the way wells are drilled and evaluated. The IADD should become a voice for this industry that furthers the knowledge of new technological advancements as well as be a source for information to help train new members of the drilling community. |

RDD- Remote Directional Drilling is sometimes labeled “Drilling from town”, due to the fact drilling can be done remotely by the directional driller from great distances away from the site. Companies are allowed to maximize their resources by putting their top directional drillers in one room to monitor multiple wells off location. This also allows these same drillers to analyze multiple sets of data from the different wells in real time. RDD is done today at remote locations and is going to be the future of how wells will be drilled globally. |

Sharewell L.P. successfully transmited Electro-Magnetic MWD data through the highly resistive Marble Falls formation in the Barnett Shale.
- Transmission used Sharewell’s patented Electro-Magnetic (“EM”) technology
- Data was received through a 430 foot section of the Marble Falls at a depth of 6,533 feet
- Project demonstrates the superior capabilities of Sharewell’s EM technology
